Hi, I’m Charlie and I’m excited to join you on your learning journey! I am a homeschooling parent of teens who have done all their schooling at home with me, a Scout leader, and online teacher. I have spent several years in the classroom teaching Visual Art and Music from grade R to 12, and given private lessons in classical guitar, music theory and visual art. I currently teach English and tutor online as well as still overseeing my children’s Cambridge education.

I have a particular interest in neurodiversity and mental health – both of my children are on the autism spectrum and I have much experience with other children with additional needs in the various spheres I have worked in. My approach to teaching is very much student-led; I like to meet a student where they are and tailor my approach to their needs, with patience and flexibility.

Outside of teaching, you will find me having fun with Cub Scouts, preaching in the Methodist church, and heading up KZN’s chapter of Mensa.
